About the Artist
In a relatively short span, the Tom Leggett Band has emerged as one of the hardest-working up-and-coming roots rock & blues acts in New Orleans. Led by guitarist, singer, and songwriter Tom Leggett, the group presents a cast of the Crescent City’s finest musicians. Fueled by a driving blues foundation and danceable rhythms, Leggett’s songs transport listeners through a vivid and humid landscape, with lyrics drawn from lived experiences in the Deep South.
“That Leggett and his band are deeply rooted in the New Orleans scene is immediately apparent . . . burning guitar work!”
“An incredible display of soul, rhythm, and authentic blues tradition that leaves the entire crowd spellbound.”
“A masterclass in modern blues performance. Unmatched energy from the first chord to the final encore.”
“That Leggett and his band are deeply rooted in the New Orleans scene is immediately apparent . . . burning guitar work!”
“Influences of his hometown, New Orleans, add a distinct flavor and character to his expression of music. The songs are well-written with vivid stories and imagery.”
“His easygoing take on blues and roots rock translates to great songs . . . Leggett’s versatility as a guitarist really shines.”
“Good work by Tom Leggett on Jewel in My Crown. He wrote his songs himself very well, his fellow musicians were well chosen and the album is nicely varied. This was more than worth the wait!”
“Pour yourself a stiff drink, hand over your car keys, turn your speakers up, and get ready to party.”
